November 2

Wow Fall is here. It should be up to 80 here today. I wish it would stay cool. I don't really have a favorite season. I enjoy summer because of the pool and the beach. Spring and Fall because I can open my windows and enjoy fresh air in the house. Winter in also nice because you can light the fireplace and cuddle under blankets. So a favorite season I don't have but instead Thanks God for each day he gives.

The last few days have been a little different. I haven't had time to create any new cards or pages. I do however have a page or two to upload this weekend. But Monday we took our 2 furbabies to the Dr. a long over due appointment. But after losing Dixie to cancer last year it is still a worry. So Audie (the lab) has a growth the size of a grapefruit. We knew it wasn't going to be good. However Doc said it was okay. It is a common thing in Labs. As long as it was not bothering him or causing discomfort of any kind it does not need to be removed. So we just need to watch it and make sure it doesn't grow that would be another reason it would be removed. He said if he removed it now it would be a long healing process. So we are going to leave it. it looks funny but by no means bothering him. It doesn't even hurt.
Okay then we have Gingers appointment. That didn't go as well as we hoped. She has lost about 20 pounds in about 2 weeks. We thought worms maybe since she is eating like there is no tomorrow. Also drinking like we are going to run out of water. After a series of blood test, Doc called us in to the room and said he had some bad news. Ginger is a diabetic. The good part it is controlable. So this is OK! We aren't happy she is a diabetic but we are happy we get to keep her and she still has a lot of life to live. The only things is we give her 22cc of insulin shot form every morning. We are working on one dose this week. Next week she will go for a glucose test all day. Depending on her levels we might move her to two doses a day.
The only bad part is we have to either be home or if we go on vacation she has to go with us. Which Audie will enjoy as well.

I will post more after he next appointment.

May the you have a Blessed weekend.
